Korean protest at Japan history book

South Korea's parliament has expressed renewed concern to Japan about a Japanese school history textbook due to be published which has caused outrage in several Asian countries.

The South Korean resolution called on Japan to address criticism of the book, mainly that it glossed over Japan's militaristic past.

After meeting a representative from South Korea's parliament, the Japanese education minister, Nobutaka Machimura, said he hoped the issue wouldn't harm relations between the two countries.
