Inter-American Press Association asks for murder investigations

The Inter-American Press Association, has called for investigations into the murders of twelve journalists in Colombia, Mexico, Guatemala and Brazil.

During a meeting in San Juan in Puerto Rico, the association also condemned the Cuban government for the persecution and imprisonment of journalists.

The association asked the Puerto Rican government to stop using the threat of withdrawing advertising as a way of punishing the media for criticising it.
