Congolese voters' views: Leopold

Various presidential run-off scenes in DR Congo

Leopold Musafiri, 39, is an economist in Bukavu in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

" I hope that Joseph Kabila will be the chosen man.

I feel extremely joyful to have all the world watching us at this particular election time and for the international support that has involved us reaching this important stage.

Kabila's capability to confront and to manage internal political crises is the reason why I am going to vote for him.

He is the best man to be our president.

Another strength of his is the simplicity in which he deals with negotiations.

The last five years have shown Kabila as a man full of respect towards his population and he has tried to fulfill his promises.

He never challenges or attacks his critics using the notion of nationality for political strategy unlike his rivals who have caused huge controversy in our country.

Their methods are unnecessary.

The financial system has never been as stable here in Congo (and previously called Zaire) as it has been during his mandate.

For these reasons I hope that Kabila, backed by international support, will win. "
