Nigeria man questioned over fire

The Nigerian authorities are questioning a man about a fire that burned out the Lagos offices of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation on Tuesday.

The man, Chris Nwokobia, gave himself up to the police in the city on Wednesday.

A number of media organisations had received phone calls saying that a group Mr Nwokobia is associated with, the Youth Democratic Movement, had started the fire.

Mr Nwokobia's lawyer is reported to have asked that his client be taken before the courts.
