A man and three youths have appeared in court accused of murdering 17-year-old Amar Aslam who was found dead in a West Yorkshire park.

Amar suffered head injuries in the attack in Crow Nest Park in Dewsbury on Sunday night.

Ameen Hussain Ali, 20, and three boys, aged 15, appeared at Dewsbury Magistrates' Court charged with his murder and a charge of robbery.

The four defendants were remanded in custody to reappear on 5 June.

No bail applications were made on behalf of the accused.

Amar was found in the park's walled garden by two members of the public.

A post-mortem examination showed he died of head injuries.

Three juveniles who were also arrested in connection with the inquiry have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
