Youth accused of pub stab murder

A 19-year-old youth has been charged with the murder of a man who died after a disturbance outside a pub.

Liam Churchley is accused of killing 41-year-old Alan Riddock, who died in hospital after the incident in Bedminster, Bristol.

Mr Riddock was fatally injured outside the Park House pub in the early hours of Sunday. Another man suffered a stab wound and a broken jaw in the incident.

Mr Churchley, of Bristol, is due before magistrates in the city on Wednesday.

Two other men, aged 30 and 27, who were detained in connection with the incident, have been released on police bail.

Det Insp Paul Appleton said: "Although one individual has now been charged we are still appealing for the public to help us piece together events."

The second victim, aged 38, is being treated at Bristol Royal Infirmary.
