Stabbing witness sought by police

A witness who helped stop a suspect fleeing the scene of a knife attack in Nottingham is being sought by police.

The incident took place on Goose Gate in the early hours of Sunday morning when a confrontation resulted in a man being stabbed in the arm and chest.

As the offender attempted to run away the driver of a red Ford Ka blocked the road so officers could intervene.

Police have appealed for the witness to get in touch. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Anthony Parrish, 21, of Perry Road, Sherwood, appeared before Nottingham Magistrates on Monday charged with Section 18 wounding, affray and possession of an offensive weapon. He was remanded in custody.
