Three injured in ambulance crash

Three people had to be taken to hospital after an ambulance was left on its side in a collision with a car.

The London Ambulance Service crew was responding to an emergency call when the crash happened in Windmill Hill, Enfield, north London, on Sunday.

A spokesman for the service said two members of staff and the driver of the car were taken to Chase Farm Hospital.

Onlookers said the ambulance was left on its side by the force of the impact which took place at about 1840 BST.

The three people taken to hospital were all said to conscious and in a stable condition.

A spokesman for the Ambulance Service said: "We can confirm that an ambulance was involved in a collision with a car.

"Three other ambulance crews, a rapid response car and an ambulance officer attended the scene.

"Both members of the ambulance team and the driver of the car were taken to Chase Farm Hospital."
