Four arrests over assault on man

Cordon

Four men have been arrested in connection with an attack in Gravesend which left a 28-year-old man in hospital with a head injury.

Police said the four, aged 20 and 21, had been bailed until June. The victim was released from hospital on Sunday.

The attack happened in the early hours of Saturday in New Road, where officers were called to reports of a fight.

A second, unrelated, serious sex attack on a girl in the same road, hours earlier, is still being investigated.

The assault on the teenage girl was reported to police at 2130 BST on Friday.

The road was cordoned off and forensic examinations were carried out.
