Radio 5 Live has allocated a significant tranche of its schedule to the World Cup this Summer.

The station will carry full commentary of up to 50 of the 64 World Cup matches that will take place in France. Radio 5 Live's output will include commentary on all England and Scotland games, full coverage of all the other big clashes and match reports on every other match.

John Inverdale and Ian Payne will present match coverage, while Jayne Garvey will host the daily World Cup news reports from France.

The station's commentary team includes Alan Green, Mike Ingham, Ron Jones, Ian Brown, Simon Brotherton, John Murray and Dave Woods, with analysis and opinions provided by Terry Butcher, Jimmy Armfield, Graham Taylor, Roy Hodgson, Pat Nevin and Robbie Earle.

Radio 5 Live will also be letting English and Scottish fans voice their opinions on special editions of the regular phone-ins. David Mellor and Richard Littlejohn will host programmes immediately after the England matches. After the Scottish matches Nicky Campbell and Dominik Diamond will take over the phone-in duties.
