Algeria telethon in pictures
Schoolchildren, film stars and politicians are among the broad cross section of Algerian society appearing on the telethon to raise funds for the thousands of flood victims.

Pledges are coming in from across Europe, Africa and the Middle East, as well as from throughout Algeria. Over 6 million dollars have so far been pledged.
