French skinhead gets 18 years for murder

A man was jailed for 18 years on Friday for the murder of a French youth of Tunisian origin in the French port of Le Havre two years ago, France Inter radio reported.

Skinhead David Beaune and his accomplice - a Portuguese national - beat up 19-year-old Imad Bouhoud and threw him into the water at the docks in April 1995.

His accomplice received the same sentence when he was tried by a Portuguese court in July on the same charge.

The state prosecutor had asked for 20 years, the radio said.
