Remembering Yitzhak Rabin
More than 100,000 people have gathered in Tel Aviv to mark the seventh anniversary of the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.
The crowd listened to taped messages from Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Jordan's King Abdullah, and former US President Bill Clinton - who all paid tribute to Rabin's struggle to end the Arab-Israeli conflict.
The rally took place in the same square where Rabin was gunned down by a nationalist Israeli student
The crowd spilled out onto nearby streets as it listened to tributes to the murdered prime minister
Rabin's efforts to achieve peace were the focus of the memorial entitled Remembering together - believing in peace
Those who mourned Rabin's death heard the late PM remembered as "a great leader" by Egypt's President Mubarak
They were also urged to "to continue Yitzhak Rabin's path of peace" by Bill Clinton
