Thai cabinet list delayed

The new Prime Minister of Thailand, Chuan Leekpai, is expected to present his cabinet list on Thursday for the approval of the King. Earlier Mr Chuan had said his list would be ready on Wednesday but a government spokesman said extra time was needed to allow some of the proposed members to resolve conflicts of interest, as required by Thailand's new constitution.

Mr Chuan succeeds Chavalit Yongchaiyudh, who resigned last week amid criticism of his handling of the country's economic crisis.
