Pam Shriver
BBC TV summariser Pam Shriver turned professional in 1979 at the age of 17, and won 21 WTA Tour singles titles.

She achieved a career highest ranking of world No 3, reached the final of the US Open in 1978, and was a Wimbledon semi-finalist in 1981, 1987 and 1988.

Baltimore-born Pam won the Wimbledon ladies doubles crown with Martina Navratilova five times, and their victory in the 1992 US Hardcourts Championship was the pair's 79th title.

She also won doubles gold at the 1988 Olympics, partnering Zena Garrison.
