Chris Bailey

Chris Bailey
Chris Bailey is perhaps best remembered for his epic second round encounter at Wimbledon in 1993 against Goran Ivanisevic.

He was not expected to trouble the fifth seed but took him the full distance before losing the final set 9-7.

Born in April 1968 in Norwich, Chris reached the last eight at Queen's in 1989 en route to a career-high world ranking of 126.

A former national under-12s champion and a Wimbledon junior quarter-finalist in 1986, he retired because of injury in 1994.

As well as working as a summariser on BBC TV's tennis coverage, Chris has also presented action from the French Open for digital channel BBC Choice.
