Teenager Olivier Rochus pulled off the biggest shock of Wimbledon so far when he sent third seed Magnus Norman spinning out of the men's singles. The Belgian qualifier, who stands just 5ft 4in tall, chopped the giant Swede down to size with a stunning performance on Court One. Rochus looked as though he had blown his chance of causing an upset when Norman levelled the match for the second time by winning the fourth set on a tie-break. But the gutsy 19-year-old, ranked 179th in the world and competing in his first Grand Slam, hit back in impressive fashion, storming into a 5-0 lead before eventually claiming the deciding set 6-1. As Norman, who reached the final of the French Open, trudged off the court disconsolately, Rochus lapped up the warm applause from an appreciative crowd. Norman's exit leaves just two seeds in the top half of the draw. Defending champion Pete Sampras is one, the other is Sweden's Thomas Enqvist, who booked his place in round three with a 7-6 (7-2) 7-6 (8-6) 7-5 over Spain's Francisco Clavet.
