Details of Welsh MPs' expenses claims over the past four years have been among those obtained and published by The Daily Telegraph. Some of them have also released details themselves. Here is a summary of the reported claims made by Welsh Conservative MPs, and their reactions, before their official release by the House of Commons authorities. You can also click on the tabs above for details about MPs from other parties in Wales.
STEPHEN CRABB, PRESELI PEMBROKESHIRE
Claim: According to the Telegraph, the Preseli Pembrokeshire MP classed a room in another MP's flat in London as his main home.
This allowed him to claim the stamp duty of £9,300 from the taxpayer for his family home in his constituency. Response: At a meeting with voters in his constituency he said the switching of homes, or "flipping", was done on the advice of the House of Commons Fees Office. He apologised and promised to pay back the money.
DAVID DAVIES, MONMOUTH
Claim: The Telegraph reported that David Davies claimed £475 for a Laura Ashley cabinet and £120 to get his carpets steam cleaned in October 2007. His total claims over three years equalled £66,755. Response: Mr Davies has defended his claims in public and said he would make all his expenses publicly available. The Monmouth MP also suggested he would invite a committee of local people to vet future expenses.
DAVID JONES, CLWYD WEST
Claim: The Telegraph said the shadow Wales Office minister claimed £3,155 for stamp duty and legal fees, £112 for a Dyson vacuum cleaner in his London home and £119 for a trouser press.
Ivory curtains from Heal's were £356, while furniture from the shop was £387. He also told the Daily Post that he claimed £339 for a satellite navigation system after getting lost in snow in his constituency. Response: Mr Jones told the Daily Post that he did not fully furnish his London flat from parliamentary allowance. He said he needed the sat nav because his was a rural constituency. The Clwyd West MP has set up a link on his website showing a continuously updated table of his expenses for the current year.
