Crews rescue man from fire at pub

A man has been rescued after a fire in a Swansea valley pub early on Monday.

Firefighters were called to the Travellers Well pub in Rhydyfro in Pontardawe just after 0600 BST.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service sent two tenders to tackle the blaze in the bar area of the building, and found the man on the first floor.

The man, who was the only person in the building, was taken to hospital for smoke inhalation, but he was not believed to be injured.
