Busy day for seaside rescue teams

A teenage boy rescued from a cliff near Cemaes on Anglesey was one of four rescue service call-outs across Wales.

The Anglesey boy was led to the top of the cliff between Cemaes and Wylfa by the Cemaes coastguard rescue team.

Elsewhere, a girl of 17 was airlifted to hospital in Haverfordwest after falling on rocks in Pembrokeshire dislocating her knee.

In Newport, Pembrokeshire, an RNLI lifeguard and lifeboat rescued a stranded windsurfer.

A man from Port Talbot was rescued by St Govan's coastguard after his dog fell off the cliff and died.

The 17-year-old girl, from Blackburn, was on a study trip at the Dale Fort Centre, said the Milford Haven coastguard.
