Shop raiders take £7k cigarettes

Around £7,000 worth of cigarettes have been stolen overnight from a shop in Pontardawe in the Swansea Valley.

Police are appealing for information following the break-in at Cefn Llan Stores in Cefn Llan Road.

Officers believe those responsible will attempt to sell the cigarettes on the black market.

Det Insp Jason Davies said: "If anyone is approached to buy cigarettes in the street or in a pub or club then contact police."

Anyone with information should call Neath Port Talbot CID on 01792 456999 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
