Glass injures children swimmers

LC
The new LC was opened by the Queen in March last year

A number of children have been treated for minor cuts after glass shattered above a swimming pool in Swansea.

The incident happened at the leisure centre - now called the LC - on Wednesday morning.

It is believed the glass from a balcony pane broke above one of the shower areas in the pool although it is not known how many youngsters were hurt.

The children were treated by staff and the area was cleaned up and reopened to the public after an hour.

The LC was opened by the Queen in March last year having undergone a 32m refit.
