Littering fine over blow-up doll

The blow-up doll
The doll and a bag of sex toys were dumped in a lay-by

A 32-year-old man who dumped a blow-up doll and sex toys at the side of the road has been fined £75.

Council officials in Carmarthenshire were able to trace the man from an address found with the items in a lay-by on the outskirts of Llanelli.

The man, who has not been named, admitted fly-tipping when questioned.

A spokesman said: "Due to the sensitive nature of the waste, and the fact that it was a small amount, we decided to issue a fixed penalty notice".

Area environmental officer Paul Morris said he hoped the fine, which the man had agreed to pay, would act as a deterrent to others.

"We would like to reiterate that fly-tipping is a criminal offence and anyone caught will be prosecuted," he added.
