Police were called to the home of the former police chief

Three people who occupied the home of Dyfed-Powys' former chief constable have been arrested.

The protesters are also accused of assaulting a local man after entering the house at Meinciau, Pontyates belonging to Terry Grange.

The three were arrested on Saturday at the property on suspicion of assault.

They are believed to be affiliated to the pressure group Stand Your Ground, said police, who also criticised the involvement of a young baby.

The matter has been referred to local social services, the police spokesperson added.

Mr Grange retired late last year following allegations of computer misuse and financial irregularities.

The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed last week that no action was being taken against Mr Grange, who led the force for seven years.
