Parents 'devastated' over death
Bernard Jason Evans
Mr Evans body has been examined by a Home Office pathologist
The parents of a man fatally injured at a house in Ammanford have described their son as a "kind and loving man."

Bernard Jason Evans died in an incident at Pantyffynon Road early on Tuesday.

Detectives have been granted an extra 36 hours to question a 21-year-old woman arrested shortly after on suspicion of murder.

Mr Evans's parents said: "As a family we are devastated that his life came to an end in such a way at the age of 41."

In a statement they added: "His lifestyle over the years didn't always meet with our approval and concealed so many qualities in his character we only wish more people could have seen.

"Unfortunately now it's too late.

"He was a proud father, son, grandson, brother, uncle and nephew, and as a family we will treasure our memories of Bernard, the kind and loving man he hid so well."

A Home Office pathologist has examined the body and scenes of crime officers cordoned off the house.

The woman is being held at Carmarthen Police Station and police say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0845 3302000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
