Five arrests after cocaine seized
Five men are in custody in Swansea after police in the city seized cocaine with a street value of between £10,000 and £15,000.

The first drug seizure was made after "sharp eyed" staff reported a bag having been left on a bus.

Three men in their twenties and from Pembrokeshire were arrested and are being questioned in Swansea.

Two men were later arrested at Penlan and Fforestfach and cocaine with an estimated value of £700 was found.

Police praised the actions of the bus employees which led to the cocaine being recovered.

Det Ch Insp Peter Azzopardi of Swansea CID said: "Considerable quantities of illegal drugs are available in Swansea which we know are fuelled by acquisitive crime such as house burglaries, thefts from shops and vehicles.

"What is also clear is that we will act quickly upon information received in order to reduce the amount of illegal drugs in circulation and reduce the misery that dependence on drugs causes.

"If anyone has information relating to the sale of illegal drugs please call us, we will act on your information and you could very well save someone's life," said Det Ch Insp Azzopardi.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Swansea Police 01792 456999 or Crimestoppers 0800 555111
