Burglars take plastic Road Runner
Plastic Road Runner
The burglary happened at about 21.55 BST on 14 August
Thieves who stole a 4ft high plastic Road Runner in a break-in at a Llanelli business are being hunted by police.

The cartoon character was a fixture in the foyer at the PAI Group on the Dafen Industrial Estate for many years.

A TV set was also stolen when thieves forced entry earlier this month, although a larger Wile E. Coyote figure proved too big to move.

Dyfed-Powys Police have issued pictures of the Road Runner and want to hear from anyone who has seen it recently.

A spokeswoman for the PAI Group, which installs sound, light, and visual equipment, said the two cartoon characters had been in their foyer for many years.

The company was given the Looney Tunes characters while carrying out work at a Warner Brothers cinema.

"The Road Runner is quite solid - the coyote was just too big for them," said a spokeswoman.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed Powys Police said: "Could anyone who may have seen or been offered the Road Runner please contact the police as the owners would dearly like it to be returned."

Anyone with information is asked to call Llanelli Police on 0845 3302000
