A teenager whose body was found after a night out at a holiday resort in Pembrokeshire died of injuries from a fall, say police.

Oliver Morgan, 19, was discovered at the rear of the Cambrian Hotel in Saundersfoot on Sunday night.

Initially police said they were keeping an open mind about his death but then said it was not suspicious.

The Pembrokeshire College student was well known in football and rugby circles in the county.

In a statement, his parents said they were grateful to the players and committee at Carew Football Club, who he played for, for the "sympathy and deep affection" they had shown.

They also expressed "sincere thanks to the emergency services who had shown such concern and consideration".

"He will be sadly missed by all who knew him," they added.

Mr Morgan, from Clayford Road in Saundersfoot, had just completed his second year as a sports science student at Pembrokeshire College.

He had spent Sunday evening in the Sands nightclub in Saundersfoot.

His death has been referred to the coroner for Pembrokeshire and an inquest opened and adjourned.
