Reclusive man's unexplained death
Gareth Thomas
Police released a photo in the hope potential witnesses recognise him
The death of a 76-year-old man found at his home near Swansea is being treated as "unexplained".

Police said Gareth Thomas lived a "reclusive life" near Waungron, on the outskirts of Pontarddulais.

Officers, who have appealed for recent sightings of Mr Thomas, were alerted by neighbours who had not seen him since the Christmas period.

An initial post-mortem examination has been carried out, but no immediate cause of death was established.

Police said pathological inquiries were continuing, with further tests, and they are asking for help in establishing the last movements of Mr Thomas, who lived in Pentre Road.

Officers want to speak to anyone with information or who saw him between 30 December and 6 January.

Police said that he might have visited Gorseinon and Pontarddulais on a regular basis.

Anyone with information can contact police on 01792 456999 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
