Police find body in river search
Police seal off the scene near where the body was found
An 'extensive search' has taken place of the River Tawe area
Police have found a body of a woman in the River Tawe in Swansea, after launching an extensive search

A woman, thought to be in her 20s or 30s, was spotted entering the river at Quay Parade in the city centre at around 2300 BST on Saturday.

Police said a woman's body was found in the area at 1045 GMT on Sunday and a search of the river bed called off.

Further investigations are being made to formally identify the woman and to inform next of kin.

South Wales Police said the body matched the description of a woman seen entering the water on Saturday night.
