Inquest on theme park ride death
Hayley Williams
Hayley Williams, of Pontypool, was studying for her GCSEs
An inquest is due to begin on a 16-year-old girl who fell to her death from a ride at a Pembrokeshire theme park two years ago.

Hayley Williams, from Pontypool, died after falling 100ft (30m) from the Hydro ride at Oakwood on 15 April 2004.

Coroner Michael Howells has had to wait for police to confirm that no criminal charges would be brought before hearing the case.

The inquest in Haverfordwest is expected to last for three days.

Hayley, who was studying for her GCSE exams, was on holiday in the area when the accident happened.

The Hydro ride was closed at Oakwood for nearly a year following her death.

It reopened in March 2005 incorporating changes recommended by the Health and Safety Executive.

Police revealed in January that on the advice of the Crown Prosecution Service no criminal charges would be brought following an investigation.
