Dock worker injured at ferry port
Pembroke Dock
The service from Pembroke Dock was postponed
An Irish Ferries sailing from Pembroke Dock to Rosslare was postponed after a dock worker was injured.

The worker was helping unload cargo from the ship when he was hit by a vehicle on the dockside.

He was taken to Withybush hospital in Haverfordwest but a company spokesman said his injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

The 1430 BST sailing on Tuesday was postponed while routine safety checks take place.

Irish Ferries marketing director Tony Kelly said passengers were being kept informed but he did not know when the ferry to Rosslare would sail.

The ambulance service said the accident happened near the freight entrance at 1340 BST.
