The former chaplain of a west Wales college has admitted charges of making indecent images of children.
The Reverend Darryl Gibbs, former chaplain at Carmarthenshire College, Llanelli, and also a former curate of Llandysul, west Wales, pleaded guilty to two charges but denied a third at Swansea Crown Court.
At previous hearings he had denied all charges.
Jim Davis, for the prosecution, told the court that Gibbs had admitted viewing homosexual sites on the internet.
But he said he had not realised that some of the sites had contained indecent images of young children.
Full details of the case will be given on 27 February when Gibbs will be sentenced.
Judge Christopher Morton said he did not have a custodial sentence in mind.
Gibbs, of Ynysybwl, near Pontypridd, was granted bail.
He was chaplain at Coleg Sir Gar (Carmarthenshire College) but had left the post to take up duties elsewhere before his arrest.
