Men in court over murder of Aamir Siddiqi

Two men have appeared in court charged with the murder of teenager Aamir Siddiqi at his home.

Ben Hope, 36, and Jason Richards, 35, are accused of killing Aamir, 17, and attempting to murder his parents at their home in Roath, Cardiff on 11 April.

Mr Hope, of Roath, and Mr Richards, of Cathays, Cardiff, were remanded in custody by Cardiff magistrates.

They were committed to appear at the city's crown court on Wednesday.

Aamir died of stab wounds while his father Iqbal, 68, and his mother Parveen, 55, were also injured in the incident.

A third man, aged 39, who was arrested in connection with the attack, has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
