Woman dies in city bus collision

Police sealed off the site of the incident in the city centre

A pedestrian has died following a collision with a bus close to Cardiff city centre.

South Wales Police said the incident happened just before 1500 BST at the junction of Cathedral Road and Castle Street.

Officers at the scene closed Castle Street in both directions between the junction and Westgate Street following the collision.

Police were advising motorists to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
