Christopher Jones died in hospital a week after being attacked
A man has been charged with manslaughter following the death of a 21-year-old man who was assaulted in Cardiff city centre.

Christopher Jones, of Marshfield, Cardiff, was attacked in St Mary Street at around 0500 GMT on Sunday, 14 October, after a night out.

He died a week later in hospital.

South Wales Police said a 23-year-old local man is due to appear at Cardiff Magistrates' Court on 2 April charged in connection with the death.

Police are still appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to contact them.

Det Insp Richard Jones, who is leading the investigation, said: "We are asking anyone who was in the area and who saw what happened or who has any information about this incident to call us."
