Charge over homeless man murder

A man has been charged with the murder of a homeless man who was found dead at a flat in Cardiff.

The body of Christopher Douglas Lewis, 53, was discovered in Burnham Avenue in the Llanrumney area on 2 January. He had suffered head injuries.

Carlos Rodriguez, 33, from Cardiff is expected to appear before the city's magistrates on Monday.

Four other people who were arrested have been released from custody and face no further action against them.

Police were called to the block of flats in Llanrumney on Wednesday at 1942 GMT by the ambulance service.
