Police investigating the murder of a homeless man who was found dead at a flat in Cardiff, have identified him

The body of Christopher Douglas Lewis, who was 53, was discovered at the block of flats in the Llanrumney area on Wednesday.

Police said Mr Lewis, who was believed to live at a homeless centre in Cardiff Bay, had suffered head injuries in an assault.

Five people have been arrested but police still want to trace witnesses.

Police were called to a block of flats in Burnham Avenue, Llanrumney at 1942 GMT by the ambulance service.

They had been called to the scene by someone who lives at the flats.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Incident Room at Fairwater police station.
