Two men arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after the death of a 26-year-old charity fundraiser have been released without charge.

Gareth Davies, from Llangibby, near Usk, Monmouthshire, was assaulted in a car park dressed as a Ghostbuster.

He sustained head injuries in the attack in Cwmbran, Torfaen, on 28 October and died in hospital later.

The two men, both aged 22 and from the Cwmbran area, were arrested in November.

The incident happened in the town centre outside Wetherspoons and McDonalds between 1230 and 0130 GMT.

In a statement released in November, Mr Davies' family said: "There are no words we can find to describe the devastation we feel at losing Gareth.

"He was a beautiful son and a wonderful brother and we were so proud of him.

"He will be remembered as a good person who achieved such a lot in the 26 years we were privileged to have him with us."
