The paramedic was attacked on board an ambulance
Detectives investigating an attack on two paramedic staff in Cardiff say they have made two further arrests.

A paramedic suffered a broken rib after youths boarded the vehicle and attacked him and a technician on Saturday night.

South Wales Police said two men, a 43-year-old and a 33-year-old, had been arrested on suspicion of assault.

Four teenagers who were arrested have been released on bail, and a 23-year-old questioned on Tuesday has been released without charge.

The paramedic also suffered facial attacks and the technician was treated for shock.

The crew had been attending a call in the Grangetown area of the city and had to alert police by using a panic button in the ambulance.

Another ambulance crew was sent to assist and the two staff were taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.

Both were later discharged from hospital.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Cardiff central CID on 02920 527420 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
