Church reveals name of daughter
Gavin Henson and Charlotte Church
The couple revealed the pregnancy on St David's Day
Singer and TV presenter Charlotte Church and her rugby star boyfriend Gavin Henson have revealed their new daughter's name.

Ruby Megan Henson was born at 2235 BST on Thursday at the couple's home in the Vale of Glamorgan.

She weighed 6lb 12oz (3.06kg), the same weight her mother was when she was born, the singer's website said.

The new family have spent the weekend introducing their daughter to family and friends, added the statement.

"Everything is fine with both her and Ruby," it said.

The 21-year-old star gave birth to Ruby at her farmhouse home in St Brides Major with Henson, 25, at her side.

Both are said to be delighted at their new arrival.

Press rumours

The singer's website confirmed that she "gave birth to a beautiful baby girl at home on Thursday night".

Henson, who was not included in Wales' World Cup squad after failing to recover from an achilles injury on time, did not travel with his Ospreys club side for last Friday's game against Ulster.

Church confirmed she was expecting a baby on St David's Day, 1 March.

In a message to her website, the star's management said she had been forced to reveal her pregnancy because of press rumours after she failed to celebrate her 21st birthday with alcohol.
