Tribute to teenage crash victim

Bill Lockwood was a pupil at Fitzalan High School
Police have named a teenage pedestrian who died after he was involved in a collision with a motorcycle in Cardiff.

Bill Lockwood, 15, from Canton in the city, suffered serious head injuries in the crash on Cowbridge Road East last Friday.

Police said Bill died on Sunday. The motorcyclist escaped serious injury.

In a statement, Bill's family said: "Bill was a boy who loved life, loved people and was loved by everyone who knew him".

The pupil at Fitzalan High School was taken to the University of Hospital of Wales following the collision which took place on the Clive Road junction at 1025 GMT.

Officers have appealed for witnesses to contact the Roads Policing Unit at Gwaelod Y Garth on 02920 222 111.
