Neuter call after dogs handed in
Some of the 15 dogs given to the RSPCA
The RSPCA is responsible for the 15 dogs
Fifteen dogs have been given to the RSPCA after their owner could not cope prompting calls for responsible pet ownership.

Inspectors were called to a property in Pontyclun in the south Wales valleys by the dogs' owner.

There they found the 15 dogs, including two pregnant German Shepherds.

The charity was given responsibility for the dogs and is now trying to rehome them. They are urging pet owners to neuter their animals.

Staff are faced with the challenge of trying to rehome two pregnant German Shepherds who are likely to give birth to large litters, eight Samoyeds and two border collies as well as others.

RSPCA Inspector Nick De Celis said: "Thankfully the owner realised that he couldn't cope and called us but this sad story hammers home the need for pet owners to neuter their dogs.

"Had he done this sooner some of the problems wouldn't have developed.

"People should also only take on animals if they have the time, money and the facilities to care for them adequately."

The RSPCA is working with the Dogs Trust to try and find the dogs new homes.
