Smoke spews from blaze in valleys

Smoke from the fire is causing visibility problems

Firefighters are tackling a blaze on an industrial estate near Tredegar in south Wales.

Plumes of thick black smoke are coming from the fire at the Crown Industrial Estate and police have advised locals to close their windows.

A section of the A465 Heads of the Valleys Road has also been closed because of visibility problems.

South Wales Fire Service said four appliances were dealing with the waste plastics fire outside a factory.

Firefighters were called to the industrial estate shortly before 1540 BST.

Police in Ebbw Vale have closed the A465 between Rassau roundabout and the Nantybwch roundabout in Tredegar.
