St David's Hotel
The 29-year-old apparently fell from the hotel
A man has died after apparently falling into Cardiff Bay from a hotel overlooking the water.

South Wales Police said the 29-year-old man, believed to be from the Cardiff area, had been staying at the five-star St David's Hotel.

Emergency services were called to the scene just before 0700 GMT on Friday and the man was pulled from the water by the crew of Penarth lifeboat.

He was taken by ambulance to the University Hospital of Wales.

Police have confirmed they are not treating his death as suspicious.

The hotel declined to comment on the incident.
