Mystery man dies in hit-and-run

Investigations go on near the scene of the man's death

A man has been killed in a hit-and-run in south Wales.

Police appealed for information about the incident, although they said they had very little information.

It happened early on Sunday on the A465 near Hirwaun.

An unidentified man, aged between 20 and 30, was found dead at the scene.

Inspector Steve Evans, of South Wales Police, said: "We don't know the identity of the man, why he was on the A465 or any details about the offending vehicle.

"It's very much an appeal for information and an appeal for witnesses at the moment.

"A post-mortem will be carried out."

The victim is described as approximately 5ft 10in tall and aged between 20 and 30 years old.

He was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt.

Police would like to speak to any witnesses to the incident, or anyone who may be able to identify the man.
