A Parcelforce worker died after an accident with a motorcycle while he was making deliveries in Cardiff.
Stephen Tovey, 45, from the Llanrumney area of the city, died after a collision with a Kawasaki motorcycle while he was walking in Cowbridge Road East near Victoria Park.
The 23-year-old motorcyclist, who lived in the city, also died later in hospital.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident.
In a statement, Mr Tovey's family said: "Stephen was a loving husband, father and grandfather and
son.
'Well liked'
"He was killed whilst going about his work which he loved. He doted on his
family and we are all devastated."
Mr Tovey
had worked for Parcelforce Worldwide for 10 years, based at the Newport depot.
A Parcelforce Worldwide spokesman said
"Steve was well liked by both colleagues and customers and we have received many phone calls from customers who are deeply upset at this
tragic news."
He added: "Our thoughts are with Steve's family at this time."
The accident happened on Thursday afternoon and both men were taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff in a critical condition, but died later.
