Airlift for hurt quad bike farmer

A sheep farmer has been airlifted to hospital after the quad bike he was driving crashed on a slope in Snowdonia and toppled onto him.

It happened north-east of Bethesda in Snowdonia on Saturday afternoon.

The farmer, who is in his fifties, received rib injuries, said the emergency services.

He was winched aboard an RAF Sea King helicopter based at Valley in Anglesey and flown to Gwynedd Hospital at Bangor.
