A boy has been questioned in connection with the theft of two children's bikes which had belonged to a family-of-six killed in a motorway crash.

David and Michelle Statham, 38 and 33, and their children Reece, 13, Jay, nine, Mason, 20 months, and Ellouise, 10 weeks, all died on 20 October.

Reece and Jay's mountain bikes were taken from the family home in Llandudno, Conwy on Friday.

A local boy has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

A bike found nearby is being forensically examined.

The Apollo Creed cycles were taken during the early hours on Friday from the back garden, three days after hundreds attended a joint funeral for the Stathams in their home town.

The family were killed on the motorway in Cheshire as they travelled home from visiting family in Birmingham.

Their car collided with a lorry and caught fire.
