Two injured in separate attacks

Two men are "critically ill but stable" in hospital after two separate attacks in north Wales.

In the first incident, a 43-year-old man was assaulted outside a nightclub in High Street, Bangor, Gwynedd, on Saturday night.

North Wales Police said a local man was arrested and inquiries were continuing.

Meanwhile, four men were arrested after another man was assaulted early on Sunday about 20 miles away at Porth Dafarch, near Holyhead, Anglesey.
